Description
The aim of the assignment is to develop a research based framework for operationalisation and measuring the police ́s commitment to work within police stand-by. The framework shall identify and describe central dimensions by their commitment ability, as well as develop indicators that can be used to measure these in a systematic manner. Furthermore, the assignment shall identify relevant variables and data sources that can provide a basis for measuring the commitment ability and assess their suitability as regards reliability, validity, data quality and practical applicability. The research assignment shall contribute to a common and knowledge based understanding of what characterises the police ́s ability to focus on stand-by and how this can be measured and followed over time. The aim is to establish a professional basis that can be used for management, management, analysis, evaluation, prioritising and further development of the police ́s stand-by at local tactical level. Furthermore, it is a goal that the research shall contribute to increased knowledge on what factors affect the commitment ability, and make recommendations on how the commitment can be measured in a way that is both professionally robust and practically relevant for the police.
